On sait déjà pour qui Johnny Hallyday et Michel Sardou vont voter.
Mais qu’en est-il d’Eddy Mitchell ?
Eddy et la politique, c’est Michel Charasse*, la misanthropie de gauche.
Atrabile of right. Liberté avant tout.
Une certaine distance avec la politique, comme l’indiquent quelques chansons comme “Votez pour moi” (in Paris, 1986), “L’alternance” (in Happy Birthday, 1980) ou encore “On veut des légendes” (in Jambalaya, 2006)
Toujours la même dénonciation de l’inaction, de l’opportunisme ; une sorte de morale désabusée.
Sur le plan fiscal, on peut noter dans “Harcelez-moi” (in Les nouvelles aventures d’Eddy Mitchell, 1999) une dénonciation féroce de l’acharnement du fisc, un peu comme dans “Je vais craquer bientôt” (in Made in USA, 1975) où un huissier vient lui réclamer cinq ans d’impôt ou encore dans “Lèche-botte blues” (in Ici Londres, 1989).
Alors Eddy, sarkozyste ?
Pas sûr ; n’oublions pas sa critique féroce du capitalisme, notamment dans “Société anonyme” (in Seul, 1966) ou plus récemment dans “Golden Boy” (in Les nouvelles aventures d’Eddy Mitchell, 1999).
Sans compter sa critique acerbe de la société policière (“Vigile” in Rio Grande, 1993).
